I don't believe in them, although I've seen some.

I cried when I saw the movie Ghost.

I saw it again not long ago and cried at how bad it was.

I believe in what I've seen on more than a few occasions but not sure of its "ghost"

I've always been fascinated by the paranormal/supernatural but I've never experienced it. Maybe I should buy some house built on an Indian burial ground and see what happens.

People who "see" things didnt buy into it, they were born into it. ;)

Ok, Im alone at home and have the chance to tell this story, please excuse my bad grammer :o I was about 12 when this happened, me and my brother were home alone as the rest of my family were next door playing bingo, I was sitting in the living room watching tv with my brother, we were both sitting with our backs facing the kitchen, I was directly in front of the tv on the couch with no shoes on and my older brother was to the right of me with his left side facing the kitchen so he had the better view, we were watching a wildlife show and we're really into it when we both heard noises coming from the kitchen, kinda like the noise a mouse would make while looking around for bits to eat, the first time we both looked back then looked at each other and said,"mice" so we ignored it, a few minutes later we heard the noise a second time and I saw as my brother looked toward the kitchen then back at the tv, then we heard the noise and we're both startled when, before we could look back, my dads scewdriver that he kept in the kitchen "junk drawer" was thrown by some unseen person/force landed right in front of us on the floor! we both jumped up out of our seats! when I looked over at him he was looking toward the kitchen with a complete look of horror on his face and appeared to be frozen in place! I quickly looked over expecting to see a burgular but what I saw was a man standing in the door way to the kitchen, he was wearing grey double pleated baggy pants and I figure nothing else as I couldnt see his feet or upper body! It was just an out line of a man in those areas with a slight grey color filling it in! We stared at it for about 6 seconds and it didnt move, it appeared to be casually leaning up against the door way! I heard noise coming from my brother and got to see his foot as he ran out the door! I hauled arse right behind him and believe it or not, thanks to dear old dad repeatedly telling us to shut off the tv when we left the room, I actually turned around to shut off the tv set! but when I did there was the figure still in the same spot! needless to say I turned right back and hauled out the door without looking back! we quickly got to the neighbors and told them what happened, my brother was in tears so my neighbor grabed a hand gun from his closet and he and my dad ran to the house, they came back about 20 minutes later and told us that they found the house and every thing was looked up but the front door, no signs of break ins inthe doors or windows! but they did find the screw driver o the floor! Thats only one of many things that I saw in and outside the house I grew up in. Thank goodness Ive never even felt anything in my house! My mom told me a few years later that she saw the figure and two other in the house and that we shouldnt be afriad when we saw these things as they couldnt hurt us. I never asked her how she knew I just knew it to be true. So yeah, thats one of many true stories of stuff we've seen.

I sublet twice in the same "haunted" house in college (sorority house) lived in a "haunted dorm" (http://hauntedwi.com/HauntedWisLocs/MenomonieUniversityofWisconsinStoutJeterTainterCallahanHalls.htm) (for a few days), spent a sufficient amount of time at a "haunted" park (http://hauntedwi.com/HauntedWisLocs/MenomonieDevilsPunchBowl.htm), and some time after hours at a "haunted" theater (http://www.hauntedhouses.com/states/wi/mabel_tainter.cfm). I suppose you've figured out by now I don't believe in hauntings- never had any issues.

I chalk up the sorority sightings to too much drinking and maryjane (and wearing silly high heels- most claimed to fall down the stairs). The haunted park was a popular place for mind-expanding drugs, and the theater was just old and creepy.

I used to believe in ghosts until a group of us and a dog went down to the haunted amusement park. The "ghost" turned out to be old man Smithers.

He would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for us meddling kids.

I think that theres a reasonable explanation for everything seen that is claimed to be a 'ghost', just like all UFO's are synonymous with supposed extraterrestrials

The "ghost" film that is the blue object at a gas station was obviously a bug on the camera.

^^^This implies that the supernatural is unreasonable which begs the question.

I've had a few encounters - the one in the thread Red House posted a link to is the most intersting.

I do believe in an after life.

The human psychy is just a too strong of a thing to just appear and ... dissapate.

Have seen my grandfather (with Mom present) as well as a couple others, including my little dog right after she went.

My Grandmother was a great person for this too - total believer. Plus her two women children (my mother and aunt) have both had experiences.

My wife watches all those ghost hunter shows on TV...they drive me batty

In high school I worked for Casa Bonita, a Mexican restaurant that had stores in OK, CO and TX. Our store was divided up into about ten rooms, each trying to look like a Mexican village building. There was a girl that loved working in this one room and was always scheduled or traded schedules so she could work that room. She was killed in a car accident on vacation. Things started happening in that room.

The floors hardly ever needed to be swept. The ice bins had to be filled by bucket from the ice machine in the kitchen.

The ice in the bin of that room lasted longer than any other room, like it simply didn't melt away as fast.

You could leave the chairs any which way and leave the room empty for a few minutes and when you returned the chairs would be straight, or at least more straight than they had been.

And the weirdest thing. This girl was always getting chewed out for leaning back in chairs during breaks, employee meetings etc. There were a few of us, me included, who opened up that room and found a chair leaning back on two legs by itself. As soon as you walked on into the room the chair would slowly set itself down on all four legs.

This went on for a few months and then slowly the odd things stopped.
