Southern California - Santa Fe Dam?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. what's up everyone, I've only been riding for a bit over a month and I'm getting a bit tired of riding around the rose bowl. Can anyone give me some info regarding santa fe dam? I'm somewhat familiar with the dam, I use to fish it every once in a while. Where exactly should I park to get to the bike trail? Thanks for the info
for kicks go counter clockwise
I rode that trail long ago in high school pretty cool ride, I think we started up near the mountains and came down past the 210 and into Azusa etc. brutal when its hot tho

I've seen people park at the base, I want to say Arrow Highway(?). I come from the Whittier area so I never leave my car there. A good primer would be to start from the Dam and make your way to the Pico Rivera golf course. Of course you can keep going down the SGRT but that's a good short trip to get used to the trail. The area is safe. I've been riding it for about 4 years and never had a problem. Afternoon winds heading south can be a mutha, though. Peace.

I think Arrow splits just east of the dam. I believe it's Live Oak at that point.:D...That's where we do the B2B rides posted in this forum. But we start from Encanto Park (just west of Irwindale Ave on Foothill). The park is off Foothill on Encanto Pwkwy. Across from the park is a birdge that takes you to the SGRT.
We ride thru the rec area then to Live Oak to the trail then to Seal Beach. 72 mile roundtrip. The rides usually attract 20-30 riders.:D
A little different course on this ride but on the dam right above the Live Oak parkinglot. Few of the members!
