How many of you race guys ride sans cyclometer?

Checking out his Look 595 and, they (CyclingNews) mention that he doesn't use one.

I thought all Tour riders would be using cyclometers and radios.

I guess he figures it's all about getting from point "A" to point "B" and everything else is superfluous. And since he spends a good amount of his time on the wheels of his lead out men, he probably counts on them to keep track of things like hot spot sprint locations by using their computers!

Few people that I ride with use cyclometers. They don't serve much of a purpose other than to give you more exact figures of arbitrary numbers that can be sufficiently guesstimated.

I went a few months without using one. It was okay. Now I use one just out of interest more than anything. Its useful in races to know how many kms to go etc.

I can't see why Hushovd would need one... can get all the info he needs over the race radio.

But seriously, I would think most of them have ridden enough km's to know their bodies' limits by now. Same as Pcad, but without the desire/need to be schwagerific.

Look doesn't just make bike frames so it also provides Hushovd with its KeO pedals.

I read the article, and I found it interesting how he chose a Large frame with a 140mm stem.
I guess he needed the extra drop and stiffness that the smaller frame would potentially give.
At the end of the article they mention frame specs, but they don't match the Look website geo stats. The official TT length (virtual) on a large frame should be 56cm.

I just sent my cs200cad back in to get fixed, and i feel lost riding when i don't know my h/r or time.

I'm bad with tech details. I assume things are what SOMEONE said they are on a bike.

Yea, when I get dropped/pass someone I automatically check the speed of the transaction.

I train with computers. Race with none.
