So I went into one of the various LBS in SF to check out a bike, I test rode an "IRO Mark V T" as they guy in the shop told me, it went for $630

any idea to what he was referring? I think its their own way of referring to the Mark V Pro, as it was priced between the Mark V and Angus (which were going for $580 and $680)

i really liked it btw... its coming down to either that or a Sanchez

If it had tear drop shaped tubes, it was probably the mark v pro. You can google the mark v pro to see if it's in facet what you're looking for. If i were you, i'd go with the IRO. I haven't ridden a Swobo before, but people don't seem to like the overall quality of the bike.

i got bough my iro about a year ago at a place in brooklyn and for awhile and i wasn't really sure what it was so i emailed iro. its called an st or something. they said it was a shop only bike, same geometry as a mark V with no cable stops. mines matte black, and the logos were just removable decals. i would definitely go for that over the swobo, which is significantly heavier.

I'm going to guess that it's this, which is a Mark V with removable decals: Mark V LC (http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/16720-018_IROLC7-0-Search--/IRO-LC-Fixed-Gear-Bike.htm)
