Yeah, my dentist STILL talks about the day I came in after going headfirst over the bars and knocked out a tooth (and also the subsequent trip a few months later when the damn thing went abscess and I came in looking like I went a round with Mike Tyson) -- and that was like 15 years ago!

ABD wasn't really helping me. I think he was just moving off the road to take stock, and decide whether to take a free lap.

Anyway, it's cool. It is hard to see in that video, but I certainly believe you. I've been accused of some shady manueverings as well. I was just curious how that happened. Anyway, definitely not a serious crash as far as crashes go.

I last saw recursive yesterday when we were leaving Quiznos (after he went with his bike to his car and walking back to Quiznos) and he said "...where is my bike?" And then had to go in pursuit.

Anyway the insult to go with all the injury is that my race frame is now dead. I finally killed it. I thought it was invincible. There is a big structural crack in the top tube.

I knew your frame wouldn't be able to handle all the abuse you've been dishing out lately.

I feel happy Cervelo just relaced my fork after my crash. (even though it wasn't necessary) New is better.

I figured that was coming at some point.

Not even close enough to fast enough to get bikes paid for. And I'm sure that the guy in charge of the budget would look at the footage and see I was just in an some unfortunate spots. :)

In other news I did a few laps of the Kenosha Velodrome today on my way out of town. I want a track bike now, but I live 2.5 hours away. Next year I will only be 45 minutes away though...

Just got back from kenosha.

Managed a short 30 minute MTB ride along a dark Lake Michigan shore after a LONG and EXCITING day at the Superweek races.

First:

Chad Hartley (Jittery Joe's) has taken the lead over Rahsaan Bahati (Rock Racing) in the Points Competition and Jonathan Cantwell (Jittery Joe’s) added to his lead in the overall standings over Rock's Sterling Magnell.

HOWEVER, I have from a very good source that the battle will still be on at Downer Avenue and that Rock Racing still want's the overall title. In addition, it's the concensus of the locals here, that since there is no other racing nearby for tomorrow (Saturday), many of the top riders slated to ride Sunday's Chicago Criterium (Alex Candelario, David Veilleux, Benjamin Jacques-Maynes Ivan Dominguez, and perhaps Chris Horner (Astana) ???) will come up and race at Downer Avenue! With a $4,000 + prime on the line ... who wouldn't drive 90 miles to take a crack at that???

Second, take a look at this field sprint from the 3's race today:

Mathew Smith (Vitamin Water - Trek) beat Alex Voitek (Turin) buy mere inches in the Catagory 3 race as a horrendous crash was in progress behind them that required three (3) ambulances to carry away the injured !!
