Greetings from the snow covered Idaho panhandle.

I just returned to riding last summer after being away for many years.

Outdoor riding is difficult this time of year so I'm sticking to an indoor trainer and spinervals DVD's.

My interests related to cycling are recreational riding and commuting. I hope to ride a century in late spring.

The side effect to my return to cycling is more energy, stamina and a 30 pound weight loss with 20 more to go.

If any of you have advise on restoring an old Reynolds Falcon I'd appreciate hearing it. I've had it for thirty-two years and still enjoy it's ride. It's not high tech but it still makes the miles go by.

Thanks for the opportunity to be here! :)

Well, that depends. Have you done any work on it at all? If not, just a good tune-up would probalby do worlds of good and you could take it from there.

Interested in buying a few tools and tinkering with it? I would recommend Lennard Zinn's "Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance". You just might get addicted to fiddling with the bike as much as riding it.

You have lots of places to ride in your area, including the Centennial Trail, and the Trail of the Couer d'Alenes, as well as the Route of the Hiawatha (dirt). There are also some organized rides in the area as well.
