I'm working on my GF's beater cruiser. It's still got some life and I was hoping to reused the rusted chain, but a link broke while I was trying to put in back on. Since I was at Walmart already, I figure I would just pick up this 3/32 chain:

Can I use this chain to replace the one on the fixed gear cruiser? Any sizing issues?

I don't know what the new cruisers use, but probably not on an old one.

Now that you have the chain, just try it.

A way to measure a drivetrain for a chain is simply to measure the thickness of the chaining and the cog. The thicker of the two is the width of the thinnest chain that will fit. You can do it with a caliper. Someone on these forums had a cool trick for doing this measurement, but it escapes me now.
