So my sister is looking for a bike to "kick around the city and ride on the bike trails." Can anybody recommend a good LBS with a commuter/recreational focus? She is in her early 30's but has had several major hip/ankle operations thanks to being hit head on in a car accident as a teen, so I'd want to make sure she got a first rate fitting.

Thanks

Trek of Downers Grove (www.trekdg.com (http://www.trekdg.com)) or Get a Grip (www.getagripcycles.com (http://www.getagripcycles.com)) have fitting certified employees.

I take all my business to Johnny Sprockets. They're located at Wellington and Broadway in Lakeview. They have a pretty nice selection and VERY helpful staff.

Trek of DG may have "ok" bike fitters, but their service dept leaves a lot to be desired. I bought my bike (back in February) from them, and will not go back there for service. Was back there once because my chain was slapping against the front derailleur (it was visibly out of alignment), and was told by their bike mechanic that is "normal"...yeah, okay...whatever.
