I'm taping the morning show but won't get to watch it front-to-back since I'll do my regular club ride this evening. I could FF the tape, and then curse Vaughters on the playback. He strikes me as being a bit of an elitist, anyway.

I hope the technology exists to somehow expunge this dastardly explitive upon repeat telecasts.

I think you may be taking the reactions too literally. I'm actually quite gleeful knowing that there are people out there who are already calling their congressmen/women about this. I'm all for the chaos factor, especially when the people who think they know best have tried so hard to limit occurrences like these.

Vaughters is becoming a bore. Way too much Garmin, Vaughters & CO. Enough already. They're running a (supposedly) clean program. We'll see.

Vaughters won a mountian TT stage in the Dauphine, and set a time record in the process that stood for several years until Epo Mayo broke it. Can't remember the name of that climb for the life of me, even though it shows up most every year in some form or another.

Just saying the Dauphine is the Dauphine and the TDF is the TDF. I'd personally be happy with either a win in the Dauphine or a second in the TDF but, Will still gets braggin rights over Jonathan here.

I'm reacting more to Versus throwing Vaughters on air a lot, a whole lot. Not Vaughters fault. He's a successful coach and his polished look and demeanor IS good teevee. Nothing wrong with that.

The network is obviously trying to get more Americans tuned in and Garmin is a good story. However, if you've been Tivo'ng away all year the Slipstream/Garmin/Vaughters features are way old by now.

About 3 hours and 8 minutes into the coverage, Robbie Ventura asked Vaughters "how is this going for you?"to which Vaughters responded, "F*** man..."

The look on Robbie Ventura's face was CLASSIC!

(In the re-airs, it appears they just cut the beginning portion of the interview with the F-bomb.)

I got a chuckle out of it mainly because it was such a dumb situation to begin with. Vaughters clearly wasn't in interview mode, and who possibly could be under the circumstances?

Maybe it would have been different with Phil or Paul in the car instead of that clown, or hell just put a few cameras in the car, put it on a 5 second delay to catch the naughty bits, and let it be what it is.

I think that only applies to broadcast channels. VS is only cable, right?

Vaughters criticized Frischkorn because he was so damn close to winning. You ride 100 miles in a break that stays away and then lose the stage win by a half a wheel? Thats disappointing to anybody.
