Anybody with experience on these tires? I'm thinking about putting them on my Felt F1X.

I ride a lot of concrete, and the current Kenda Quicks are kind of bumpy and loud. I want to stay with a true cross tire, but I'd like to get a little closer to a road tire. Plus, the silver color would look sweet on my bike :thumb:. Not to mention, I ride duathlons too, and I will be using this bike for that purpose in the future. So if I can cut down on the rolling resistance, it'd be a plus. But I do want to keep the bike so that I can go on rock trails and grass (etc) at the spur of the moment too.

How do these tires wear? How do they do in the rain (are they slick)?

Any info would help.

And if you have any other suggestions, I'm open to them.

I wouldn't recommend them for everyday use. I would instead look at something like a Panaracer Pasela in 32 width, it does fine on dirt trails and grass, as well as pavement.

Pros: awesome looks, roll fast on all surfaces, good grip in hard pack
Cons: wear very fast with daily commuter use. I used them for 1000 miles and there's a 3/8" flat strip on the rear and the front is starting to wear a bit too. Weren't super great with road hazards (3 flats in 2 months is high IMO compared to other tires on my route).

But they look awesome!

I'm with flargle. Especially given that the Kenda Kwicks are one of the shallower tread 'cross tires out there. If you do get the Panaracers, get the regular ones, not the model with the TourGuard belt. The TourGuard belt seems to really decrease performance.
