for the weekend of aug. 2. i'm there saturday and sunday. i have like 5 hours or so to look at stuff, not a whole lot of time. i'd like to visit a nice bike shop that has neat stuff.

i'd be cool if i could pick up a deep V rear wheel, anyone know a shop that sells them? i can't just walk into a shop and get them here.

any other shops i should check out?

American Cyclery has nice things to look at, but with heavy price tags.

I think the 7-11's in SF sell deep V's, right next to the flashing bic lighter covers.

Keep visiting, people. Just don't move here, rent is already through the roof.

Seriously, it's rough!

I'd say cruise the bike shops in the Mission, specifically on Valencia St. Valencia Cyclery (At 20th or 21st I think) and The Freewheel are both great shops and I know for sure they both sell V's. I saw a couple Aerospokes hanging at The Freewheel just last week, too ;D.

Other basic spots near by would be Sports Basement right off of Protrero and Bryant (Near the Protrero shopping center), and you got Performance Bikes down on 6th and Brannan (But I doubt you'd wanna go there :P )

Also, another nice shop is Pacific Bicycles near the Metreon. Sometimes pricey as well, but the staff is nice.

If you wnat to check out some cool spots in SF you can try...

Valencia Cyclery 1065 & 1077 Valencia
The FreeWheel 914 Valencia Street

both are within walking distance

Pedal Revolution which is a few blocks away from Valencia Cyclery 3085 21st at South Van Ness

I think you were the one who gave me a free gold chain link the day I snapped my chain.

You said, "here you go, go pimp out your bike."
