I'm new to the world of clipless pedals, and just bought a pair of Time ATAC cleats, along with used pedals and compatible shoes. However, for some reason my cleats didn't come with the mounting bolts to put them on the shoes. Does anyone know what kind of bolts I should put on there? By that I mean which metal, length, thread size, head, etc. I can probably just order a few from McMaster-Carr or get them in our machine shop, but I'd like to know what the exact ones are before I start messing around with the threads in the shoe.

It's a metric, but I don't remember right now whether it's M5 or M6. Lengthwise I suppose around 10 mm should do the trick. It's got to be countersunk, preferably an allen or a torx head. Philips or pozidrive will do at a pinch, but will make eventual removal more risky.

I expect a call or e-mail to Time's distributor will get you a set of the bolts gratis.
