Im totally new to this, i always had a regular 10 speed with 27" wheels.

Now i found this:

Its pretty cheap, and i love the frame geometry. I like how the wheel sits so close to the frame, my question is:

Is the 26" size wheels pretty popular in fixed gear cycling? I wanna buy it but i dont want to be left with no parts of possibility to build a nice fixed gear.
Im looking for a nice get-around town daily fixxie, may be some little tricks sometimes.

Thanks alot.

ps. do alot of stunt/trick guys do their barspins on this size of wheels aswell, correct?

thanks alot

700c is pretty much the standard. you will pretty much be stuck with 26" as well; at least that's what it seems like from the photo.

and some people put 650s on their front so they can barspin on a track frame to answer your question.

so, 650 is the 26" wheel, right?

There are many diameters of wheels/tires.

The only difference between 26 and 700c wheels is the rim and spoke length. You can use whichever hubs you want.

One caveat: brake compatibility...

that may be a 26" frame not 26" wheels...that headtube is huge

Those are not 26inch wheels, they look more like 27s or maybe 700c wheels. Also, I hope you are north of 6'2", that is a very large frame.

yep, im actually 6' 2". ill go take a look at the bike, it mgiht be worth saving. I think its a pretty cool frame with the back wheel tucked in so close.

So, i can probably get a nice set of 700 for it.
