ok, these pictures suck, but this frame arrived literally 15 minutes ago. fully custom built and measured track frame built for me by Carlos Clemente Cruz. you can't really tell, but it is a glittery off-white. the lug work is amazing, and i love the pseudo-integrated seatpost. can't wait to build this up: wheelset cane creek aros 58cm carbon tubular, everything else is TBD.

thanks! the tubing is deacciai zero, and i won't say exactly what i paid, but it was very reasonable considering the impressive quality of the build. i think he is restructuring his prices at the moment (his website info is under construction), and of course the price varies with tubing and build options, but any custom frame with good materials and quality build is going to be $1300+. well worth it, because i won't be letting go of this frame until it falls apart underneath me.

even with the extended seat tube, would it be in any way risky to not have your post extend beyond the seat lug? seems like the leverage wouldn't be good for the frame otherwise, or maybe you'd get the soft-ride effect.

thanks! i'll be using a regular length seatpost on this build as i'm not concerned about weight; this bike will only ride on the velodrome.

i imagine that if the seatpost were substantially shorter (like only three or four inches long) there might be some problems with strength or ride quality, but with a regular length seatpost it should end up being stiffer.

yeah, I'd just want to make sure it made it all the way past the seat lug (i.e. regular length).

you are right that it'll be heavier, but I imagine it'll look pretty rad.
