Anyone doing Sisquoc? I'm looking to carpool to save some cash...otherwise, I'll just stay local. Anyone interested?

I *was* interested, then they changed the date.
I have a prior commitment, on the new date of the race and can't attend. :(
Why'd they hafta go and change it? I was free on the original date (the 19th).

What date do you think its on? Socalcycling.com still says its on the 19th.

Looks like it's definitely on the 19th. AFAIK, it's always followed by the SLO crit on Sunday, so I'd be surprised if the date changed.

This is the first year Sisquoc and SLO are actually on the same weekend. They made the schedule like that on purpose so that people could stay the weekend. Part of the reason I didn't race SLO last year was because I had just made the drive up the weekend before for Sisquoc. I think there were others who felt like me or maybe chose to do the crit. instead of the rr so they wouldn't have to make the drive twice. I don't think it's been changed since the 20008 schedule came out, I'm pretty sure it's been scheduled on the 19th all year for the reason stated above.

I had planned on doing that and SLO, because I have a friend in the area. Gas prices, however, now dictate that I stay "local" and do the Ontario thing.

At one time it was scheduled for the 25th. I got that original date from socalcycling.com, when I was trying to map out a schedule for the season.
I don't know when the date change occurred, I just know that it changed sometime between when I originally looked it up, and when I checked again a few days ago.
Makes sense to have it on the same weekend as the SLO crit, but sucks for those of us who had planned on the original date.
Edit: 26th, not 25th. 25th is a Friday.

Got a ride and a place to stay. Sweet. Going to do the double bill of Sisquoc and SLO Crit. I got my ass handed to me last weekend, so don't know why I think I'll fare any better in a RR, but what the heck...I've been working hard and the season is running out. I've never done SLO crit, but have heard good things about it. Looking forward to a great weekend of racing up north. Wish me well.
Cheers,

They changed the date almost immediately after the original schedule came out. Anyway, it has been the current date for several months.

July 19. Pretty hot about then? That race should be more like early May. ? / Sisquoc. We'd be torn as to that race. Rancho Sisquoc is a favorite red wine. Would we pull ourselves away from their tasting room.
