Foo - If you could have a wish, what would it be?

For me, I wanna be able to "stop time". Click my fingers and watch the world come to a stop. Then go to bed and sleep for hours on end. Wake up rested, with the world still stopped. Pick up my bike and go riding, watching people and cars everywhere like wax statues. Come back home, sit on the back porch and reflex about stuff... for hours, without pressure, at peace.

I fear wishes:

If I wish for world peace, some dictator will arise and create a worldwide empire, nuking most of the globe, and putting the survivors into groaning slavery. Peace through chains.

If I wish for the end of starvation, then the population explodes, causing crime waves of people fighting for land, like Calhoun's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_B._Calhoun) rat experiments.

If I wish for space travel, then aliens will seize the earth, and the travel will be humans being taken from the planet in chains to work as slaves... or be put into a pantry as a new dish.

I have DM-ed so long (AD&D first ed on), that one of the things I became decently skilled at was twisting words around when a PC wished for something.

An example of this (and this wasn't my idea) was someone wishing for a lot of gold. Yes, they got a considerable amount on a subsequent campaign. The town they were in became wealthy because the PCs (player characters) tipped often and paid to fortify the place. However, about a year after the party moved on, the town fell into an economic collapse, and then hired assassins to knock off party members.

Best wish I've ever had by a PC was "Gee, I wish something really exciting would happen to our party."

I used to wish to be independently wealthy, but my personal economic reality has pushed me to do so much more with myself, so that's probably not a good wish.

Yup. I'm the father of two little boys that fall somewhere under the umbrella. I love the hell out of them. My wife is an Educational Assistant also working with kids who have special needs. Our boys aren't that severe, but its still a ****e sandwich of which we've gotten to take a big ol' bite out of. It sucks.

There are a few people that I'd use my wish for - to make it so they were still here today of course... I'd imagine most people have at least a few people in mind that they would use there 'wish' for as well. But the world doesn't exist to accommodate ppl's wishes.. it just is what it is. :P -?

Sadly, they already spend too much time thinking of others....how to blow them up, how to cheat them out of their inheritances/retirement savings, how to ****, rob, and pillage entire communities. Most of this goes on because people are too concerned with the differences amongst us.

World peace, but that will never happen even with a free wish!. So since humans are the cause of all the worlds problems I say eradication of humanity! at least theres a chance that might happen!
