I ride my bike back and forth to the Y for a Judo class in the evenings. This monday I brought it to my backyard, then went in to open the backdoor to bring it to the basement. A buddy stopped by and I got sidetracked, and next thing i knew i forgot my bike. Next day when it occured to me that i never brought it in, it was gone. It was a Diamandback Podium 'cross bike, I had just gotten it over eBay. Luckily the guy i bought it from was really cool, and had as it turned out, registered it on the NBR(www.nationalbikeregistry.com). I can only hope that it turns up this summer, but I know its a slim chance. So if anybody sees someone cruising on a white DB Podium in Albany NY give a shout at them for me.

Sorry to hear about your lost. I bet you already know this, but it is also a good idea to etch your social security number or birthdate or something to help distinguish the bicycle just in case you see it again and need to prove it to the poor soul to ended up purchasing the bicycle from the scumbag who stole it.
If you don't want to ruin the paint job, laminate a piece of paper with some personal contact info and put in into the seat tube.

If you find the guy that stole it, give him a good strong haraegoshi judo throw and pound him one for all of us.
I hope you get it back. I'm glad that isn't a big problem were I am. I often leave mine unlocked over night. Maybe no one wants an old beat up Cannondale.
i would travel the world to recover one of my stolen bikes you have my every sympathy. no id on mine
