Not exactly a new idea. Nike's done it along with plenty of others.
http://www.individualsole.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/af1-fixed-gear-1.jpgbut I'm sure people will buy it beacause you don't see them all the time, they look cool, and most it would seem care way more about looks over performance. Overall it's a stupid lacing for many reasons. But when you see a chance to make some skrilla why not?
those look the opposite of cool, imo

On a drift car, yes; on a fixie not so much.
I always wanted a set of those of my 84 GTI.
yea but a set of RS like that will run you at least double the cost of a 84 GTI. but i can relate. also guilty of driving a volkswagen with wheels worth more than the car.

Those wheels look awesome on an old 1992 VW GTI 16v with the Montana Green color scheme. I miss my Dub, the days of youth gone by, sigh.

Sadly, my highschool days were closer to 84 than today. Mine was only 4 years old but the Ronal R-11's looked pretty good on there.
I'm guilty of building a twisted spoke wheel for my hoopty coaster 3-speed bike built out of an old bent-up bianchi.
Can't remember who told me it would fail and I would die, but yeah, I'm still alive and the hoopty-wheel is still true.

yea the wheels you are thinking of are very similar. BBS RMs came on the 16v GTIs in 92. these are RS. jesus has these on his car.
days of youth? damn, i still roll in the 91 jetta turbo diesel with the old school ronal turbo r-10s. im never giving up my boxy piece of ****.
forreals tho lets keep it down, this is bikeforums, not vwvortex haha

Not exactly, They had an air force one bike built up, it's the one in that picture I posted. Not exactly a bike to envy but it was flashy, and it's always interesting when a huge cooperation jumps on the bandwagon.
