I just want to ride and get out of this smoke. I'd go to Tahoe but don't feel comfortable riding the trails without friends. I'm thinking of doing some kind of road thing in the bay. You guys are doing nothing?!?!? :(

I'm game for something on Sunday. Saturday is tied up. Nothing too long though. 40 to 50 is my limit.

I have the Livestrong Challenge (http://www.livestrongchallenge.org)on Sunday, there are also a few members headed off to the Death Ride (http://www.deathride.com):) I'm not sure what everybody else is up to. Surely something will stir up.. you can always jump in the Pen Velo pack ride.. that had a good response from those who went along.

From where do you depart? I was thinking of doing a similar loop, and would ride the ferry in to SF and start from somewhere around there. I could meet you where you wanted to start..

I can't do either -- working on Saturday, riding in the Spring Hill Road Race on Sunday. I'm thinking of it as a group ride with friends whom I haven't made yet. :D

I'll be lugging mail, but the club has two rides. One is a Tri training ride starting at the Niles Staging Area of the Alameda Creek Trail. The other is a ride around the south end of the bay starting in the Long's drugs parking lot at Warm Springs and Mission,

There is also a short notice ride which meets at Niles at 8:15am on Saturday. We are doing the Sierra/Felter Rd loop.

40-50 miles - FFBC "B" pace (16-20mph in a paceline). We we head down Milpitas from Warm Springs blvd and return the same way. Major climb is Sierra Rd (3 miles @ ~10-14% grade).

I just pm'd you, taxi. My wife works all night Saturdays and last night was not a good night. I didn't get any sleep and I'm exhausted. I'm not going to make the drive out there this morning - I'm barely getting through this.

I ended up doing Redwood Gulch, Saratoga Gap, across Skyline, down Page Mill. The sun was out, but the sky is still not blue ... more white-ish than anything else.
