Hello folks,
I have just came across an incredibly cheap (an oldish) but super racy steel frame in great shape that I would like to put out as my cyclocross/commuting rig with cantilevers. The actual steel fork on it does not have any kind of brake attachment. So I am thinking about replacing the fork with a Surly cross-check. The little problem in here is the headset I guess. The frame still has the old 1" threaded with the quill stem in. I assume I have to remove it all, but can I replace the old 1" threaded fork/headset/quill by a 1" threadless fork/headset/stem? I have already check for disponibility of these kind of pieces, I could have them all... But, will it be possible to make the change?
Thanks a lot to all, and sorry to have asked yet another threaded/threadless question but I haven't been able to find my answer yet
