Hey...any of you Boston-ish types ever ride on this road? It's pretty near my house, and would make a nice add-on to the route I've been riding in the mornings. How busy is it around 6:00 am? I'm thinking I'd jump on right at the beginning where it meets the Fellsway East, take it out to Route 1 and turn around in the Target parking lot.

I've done it on some rides and once as part of a triathlon that used to run up there (maybe it still does). It's not great but I would imagine that early in the morning it's doable. It's got a bit of a shoulder if I recall and it's not in bad shape.

Overall this is not a bad road to ride, but it can get pretty busy with traffic during rush hour. Also, during the school year you will have to deal with traffic as you go past Melrose HS and Middle School. The earlier you ride the better.
