I've been waiting to tell you guys about my son. He's now 3, (4 in April) and we bought him a Specialize HotRock for Christmas. By Jan. 2nd, we took the training wheels off! You would not believe this kid! He's riding all over the place with TREMENDOUS control of his bike. He's even going down some stairs (o.k., only 2 but it's a start). Yesterday, he saw me bunny-hopping and was trying to himself. Incredible!
Anyways, here's a pic of him on his new bike!

Great stuff! He'll be joining you on the trails in no time!
Cool! My little buddy is set to be born in the next few weeks, can't wait to get him onto a bike! I've got it all mapped out, baby trailer by 6 months, trail-a-bike by 3, on his own by 4, championship xc racer by 15!
Cool... I learned to ride when I was two! He'll be shredding trails with you in no time A2 ;)

it just funny looking at that picture..the helmet is bigger than his head. hehehe
Lil' mushroom head dude!
Thanks for putting the brain bucket on the tyke Vic, I see way too many parents leave my store without one for their kids. (Apparently the law or the kid's life isn't worth $40 to them )
hehe, what a little dude! Just wait about ten years and see how much fun it is keeping 3 or 4 bikes rolling for the two of you! Trust me, it's worth all the trouble. I look forward to every weekend that my son and I get to ride together. Only problem is, I have changed rolls from teacher to student :p

I didn't realize how good some of the little guys can be until I saw a video on petefagerlin.com the other day of his kids riding. They're probably about 6-7, but it sounds like your guy's not far behind. NO TRAINING WHEELS at 3 YEARS OLD!?! Man, I couldn't ride WITH training wheels when I was 3.
BTW- I miss looking at your Intense in your avatar. It was soooo pretty.
