There's a free stuff thread in the for sale section of BF but I thought I'd start one here as I have something I want to give away and would rather give first crack to you here. If no one claims this here, I'll post it up on the main one in a few days time.

A friend of mine gave me this power gel bottle holder (new, never been used) that I suppose is meant to be strap
Mighty nice of you S. If this catches on an snowballs a bit, I think we should give it sticky status.
I've got a few 26'' rim brake wheels that I would give away if someone wanted them. I'd have to check on shipping though
I got a bunch of other stuff also and I am moving too, so you all might make out I'm going to update this post in a couple of days

I have a Rockhopper frame, 1" head tube, I'll part with. I don't know how much shipping is, but if someone wants it..........
Fed-Ex Ground is super reasonable, especially if you can confine it to as small of a box as will hold it well.

I never touched em, so I figured, I got them for free, instead of hogging or selling them I'll pass them to someone who could use it,
Yea, I was originally a 3X8.

Aw, so they wouldnt work on a 3 by 8? Or is that not what 9 speed means?
They would, just dont shift down to the 9th click.
you can set your derail. to not go any farther if you did.

Piss poor advice from you Mr. Noob. Go eat a bag of Cheeto's and listen up:
The distance from gear 1-9 on a 9speed cassette is basically the same as the distance between 1-8 on an 8 speed cassette. The distance between each cog is different.
Use a 9 speed shifter on an 8 speed cassette and you'll have all sorts of crap goin' on. Eventually you'll dump 2 gears instead of shifting just one at a time b/c of the difference in gear-to-gear difference. (prob. around gear 3 or 4)
So...don't use a 9speed shifter with an 8speed cassette or the vice unless you wanna jack something up.
This is also why 8speed chains are wider than 9speed chains.
Seriously Cheeto, I thought you had learned alot about drivetrains lately:lol: Maybe now we know why you're dumping derailleurs:mad:

Actually, you can do this. You just gotta know how to set up the R/D. I have it setup on a beater bike. 9 speed Deore shifters with 8 speed Forte cassette. It shifts almost as clean as the Lx 9 speed on the backup bike....Unless you've tried it don't go raging on someone. :thumb:

As proven, it can be done. So don't go and get all over me for no damn reason. Secondly, I am not Mr. Noob. I'll more than happily challenge you in a XC ride. Third, My name has nothing to do with the chip, it's an inside story, so, thanks for your time.

Ah, this game is great, helps me train in the off season.
I couldn't help but notice, Pcad made his way into the game, one of the bikes has fenders =0
Actually Cheeto-inside-not-chip-guy...your noobness refers to your inability to wrench on a bike. You can't fix a simple drivetrain issue...yet you give piss poor advice to some innocent bystander who will be out shipping money.
I surely don't want to take you up on your challenge though...I know that my inadequate bike handling skills mixed with my laziness and deconditioning would be no match for ChesterCheeto-the-inside-XC-Maniac:lol:
You need to lighten up, man. This is the net.:thumb:

And how do you know that I can't wrench a bike? Time have changed since I first started riding. Drive trains are no problem now.
Really, If I had the tools, I believe I could do it all.
Hey, atleast you got it right, I am the XC Maniac.

Ok, let's make this a fair race Cheeto vs chelboed.
Trail system of my choosing, so it's a fair match up.

Sorry...I only ride paved bike paths. Maybe a little gravel as long as it's not too big. Off road scares me.
