For the past day when attempting to post in C&V, all I get is "Posting Quick Reply - Please Wait" with the timer going round and round. Very frustrating...

Short posts work, long posts don't for the last 2 days.

Avoid using SQL keywords in your posts currently. They are what is breaking the forum. Google for the list of these keywords. They scrub randomly and block the posts, even if in sentence content.
