Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Saw this sign on a wall in a restaurant in Florida the other day -- the kind of restaurant that has signs and old stuff for decor.
My question: was it a real product?

Florida has a long history of fooling the tourists. They invented selling swampland. What do you think?
;)
I googled it and found many sites selling funny signs http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=16421171 so I'm thinking it might not be real. There is an old saying in the South, "It's easier to pick Yankees than cotton".:lol:
I know a man who can get you some Dr. Bumbutt's if you are interested. Just let me know and I'll call my man. It's not cheap but it's good stuff.

It's evidently an Applebee's standard nationwide. Don't know if their stuff is based on reality or not. - TF

Well, I think the more important questions is, "If its not real, could it be?"

Since that sign is pretending to be from the 19th or early 20th century, I'm calling it a fake. People who publicly used horrible words such as "butt" would probably be tarred and feathered, beat to a pulp, arrested, or at least ran out of town.

I'm deeply offended by the language in this thread. I won't be associated with people who casually throw around such degrading terms. I'm out of here forever! :notamused:
Yeah, right. :D :roflmao2:
