My 12 yo son will be taking part in the OSIM Triathalon tomorrow on the tikit - kids category. It will be interesting to see how he does against all those bigger wheel bikes. Pretty much stock. He did it on a Speed Pro last year at 31.48 for 10km. Stay tune. Cheer for #378!

Fantastic. Great to see kids doing this kind of thing. I admire triathlete competitors at any level. Bike close-ups look great and wish him luck!

Best of luck! Great to get them started early!!!

My 4 yr old was in a tri last month. 25 yard swim, 1 mile ride, 1/4 mile run. He did everything perfectly! It was sooo much fun to see his little determined face during the events.

Just an update on the OSIM Tri and the Bike Friday tikit. It was the only folder in the 10-12 yo kids race and it came in top 30% among other full size bikes - tri, roadies, mtbs etc. Jem reported that some of the riders who he overtook were shocked, and perhaps even slightly embarrassed by the sight of a "circus" bike passing them by.

What was even more interesting is that he used a 24 Speed Dahon Speed Pro last year and did 31:48 for 10km. This year on the tikit, he did 30:15. No doubt he may have grown a bit more this year, but it speaks volumes about this little 16" commuter bike.

Bicycles that fly? Well, nearly...

He's lucky to have taken after his Mom in that department :D!

His massive calfs came from Dad though:thumb:
