Well i set out to ride 50 miles yesterday (i couldnt post last night for some reason) on my trek 7100, but about 7 miles in to my ride i noticed my front tire was soft, not flat just soft but i had just filled it before this ride. So i pulled over and inspected it and there was a slight leak coming from the stem that was just a bit off center. Well i turned around and rode back to my house and fixed the problem and filled the tire again. So 13-14 miles in i needed to decide if my day was over or weather i should get back out there. I decided that i would still to the 50 mile ride on top of the shorter ride. So thats what i did i set out on the half century pretty late due to the flat/soft tire and i barely made it home before dark. I bonked pretty hard on the last 15 miles or so and really have to plan to bring food along with me on my next ride of that distance. But either way i am estatic with the results of my ride, all in all i went 64.5 miles, or 104.5 KM for the day and am counting it as my first metric century. I ended with an average speed of 13 miles an hour which is probably pretty accurate, it dropped from about 13.4 to 13 in the last 15 miles.

I think i am making great progress with my cycling, first metric complete 48 days after buying my first non-xmart/childs bike. Weighed in at 260 after the ride for a total loss of 18 lb's. Probably around 500-600miles on the bike since buying it. I just wanted to give everyone a little update since its been a while since my last post.

Hey, good job. I know how a slow leak can zap one's energy. Just hink, if you hadn't had a leak, you might have done a hundred miles!:tumb:
