Just wanted to make a quick post, we're at mile 63 and feeling great! Had a nice tailwind for the first 45 on the gravel, then fueled by pancakes and coffee we flew for the past 18 on the highway, me and the two 29er riders averaging 18mph through the wind and rain.

Great ride, one busted spoke but thats not going to stop me! More later!

Completed! 103-ish miles, nice cool weather, one heck of a pull on miles 50 to 85(ish)! More coming soon, I'm going to go take a quick nap so I can compose my thoughts, after a nice long shower and shortly before a big plate of sesame chicken :).

103!!!!!!!! Nicely done. :popcorn

Heck, I remember reading about your first metric and wondering when I will get there. Way to go on raising the bar, and I mean that in a good way!:thumb:

Well done! Hee hee...I've thought about what I'm gonna put in a report on the forum on my bike rides, but I haven't yet posted during one.

Did you take a laptop with you? LOL. I already read the finished report. Nice job.

Not really, but kind of. My mobile phone is a Sprint Mogul, which has EVDO (cell broadband), a keyboard, and a decent browser (opera mini) so I can post (kind of) from anywhere. Works out pretty well, and is a vital asset for my job as I'm: A.) always on the phone and B.) Always emailing (to the tune of 100+ emails/day). Thankfully because of A & B they pay for it :). Anyway I've had four smartphones now (Treo 650, Treo 755p, Sprint Touch, Sprint Mogul) and this one is my favorite mix. I am looking forward to trying out a Blackberry next year, though.

Plus, the camera ain't half bad on the Mogul. That's where 99% of my ride pictures come from, as I'm too lazy to grab a digicam. And, ironically, one of the big deciders of me using the Mogul over the Touch.

Awesome, congrats!

And, once you get a blackberry, you will wonder how you ever used another smartphone... They are awesome!
