How'd you like the RR course? I got sidelined by familial obligations and couldn't do it. Probably for the best anyway. I can ride by myself for free.

You have a Cat3-o-meter and and you have never raced a crit before? I have to move to NC.

Congrats!

I chose not to race crits last year. This year I wanted to. Unfortunately, because of other obligations, traveling, and a medical problem, I missed out on a few this year. Now there are a ton of crits and I'm all over them - hopefully.

The course was good. The hills weren't that bad but there were a couple of dog problems.
The heat and humidity was bad. I feel for the later, longer races. The ladies (Cat1/2/3/4) go last and do a ton of laps. God help them.

2 or 3 went down because of a dog in the Cat5 race. I had to stop and unclip but quickly got back to the main group. This was my first race ever by the way. I got dropped half way through but I did finish. I knew I was in trouble when I saw the fastest guys at my usual Tuesday nighter line up for the same race I was in. Also, the registration people showed up a half hour late. This left me about 10 minutes to warm up.
