are they any good up hills, ive seen 1 and thinking of buying but i do not know if any good up hills, if not it would be useless in my area.

It's only one speed... so it will depend on the hill and your legs.

Its a pretty stiff frame so only steep hills defeat you/it, you stay in the seat and grind away. I find the single speed is not an issue UP hills, more of an issue down hills where you have to spin like mad or just go with the flow and freewheel.

I have a small but steep hill on my return commute. As long as I can keep my momemtum going, I'm fine. But if I have to stop because of peds or vehicles, getting started again is a bit tough.
I'm not a major biker, only going about 15 miles a week, and my legs are pretty strong.
Strida's are not fast bikes either so you can't really build up any steam going into a hill, you just pump on thru it until you reach the top!
