:D

This past summer, my mama got me this old Fuji bike. It is a Sagres...my friend has one that is similar and his is a Spree. Well i started to really like biking and i was already a runner and a swimmer. My swim coach got me into triathlons, which i love! They are so awesome. I participated in two last summer so i am pretty new to the whole thing. I just kind of jumped into them not knowing much. I have been trying to find a forum on bikes and things and this place looked perfect. I am hoping people can help me out on updating my bike and getting it to ride better. My questions so far are: how do i know if my bike fits me and what can i do to begin rebuiliding it some?

Thanks,

Cameron

Could not help but posting some more on me and my bike. I am 16 and a sophomore in High School. I live in Central Indiana north of Indianapolis. When i got my ol' Fuji it was in great shape. My mom got it from her friend and said that it was ridden a few times and crashed those few times...haha. it pretty much set in a shed for a long time.

well that is all for now...might come up with some more later...haha

Hi Cameron!

Welcome to the forums. Just a suggestion, though- if you have specific questions, visit the forums that pertain to your questions and ask them there. I'm POSITIVE you'll get more of a response there than here in the Introductions forum.

Since you like Triathlons, do check out that forum. There are some pretty seasoned vets there that can help you with those types of questions and give you tips on what you can do to train for those.

Have fun, and again- welcome!

Koffee

Welcome.

Fit is a muddled subject, filled with voodoo and superstitious "rules of thumb".

Here's a really good start, without the crap. The "Fore-Aft Saddle Position" section is the key:
