OK, I'll start off. Here's a bad beagle. Eddie knows better than to get into the laundry basket. Caught red-pawed, he has no shame.

His name is Tejas, its a bit ironic because he was already named that when I adopted him in Italy. I never imagined that we would be moving to Tejas (Texas) shortly after.

Turtlemania! The pen for our breeding colony of Eastern Box Turtles. One of them is sunning himself next to the turtle fountain in the middle of the picture. There's about a dozen of them, as well as a couple of frogs living in the pond.

Did have a kitty cat named Frankie (had blue eyes very cute!) got attacked by coyotes and was confined to the house for 6 months (no rabies!) and then my mother decided to go and let him out (even though I told her not to because we would never see him again and alas....he is gone...and we moved so who knows!
Miss you Frankie and your creepy hand gnawing thing...Nahm Nahm! God he loved that noise!

No, the Biblical, Bartholomew was named after one of Jesus' Apostles. And Luke wrote to Theophilos (sometimes also spelled Theophilus -- although θεοφιλε is the actual correct spelling) .... :D

I'm sorry. All I heard was, "Blah, blah, blah, I'm a dirty skinny." :roflmao2: I crack myself up. From now on, a kinder way to insult someone without offending them, is to call them a skinny. Especially on the Clydes/Athenas forum.

So we'd be an "Odd Couple". Personal preference for a dog would be a Shepherd or such. Either German or Belgian Shepherd. I'd hope that was a loner. I can't think of a dog that's less "Tom" than that one. :)
This is my Australian Shepherd Murray. All he wants to do all day long is chase soccer balls.

Neil, those turtles are awesome! My wife has a Yellow Margin Box Turtle. Most people would never think of turtles as affectionate pets, but this guy is incredibly people-oriented. They are a lot of work to care for, though - and they live a very long time.

Inside, we have two South African land tortoises named Tortoise and Bea. And Pepper, a spotted aquatic turtle. And Paulsen, my red eared slider. And Chomps, a turtle from Malaysia. And Florida, a gecko (although unlike lizards in the insurance business, she doesn't talk.) I agree they require some care, but we find if you keep the water well-filtered and clean the tanks occasionally, they do OK on their own.

Here is my bulldog, Leche, during her first bike lesson a few days after we brought her home. Looking at the picture, clipless and helmetless with a 90 pound bulldog should have been a recipe for disaster.:roflmao2: All went well though, and I take her for a mile or two jog most days.

that is Munchkin, my daschund that has OCD when it comes to toy balls. (throw the ball, throw the ball... is about all he can say)
http://www.silenzzzz.net/area/skeeter_wb.jpg
that is Skeeter .. he is the 'grumpy old man' of the house ... he was a rescue from the pound .. that the dog catcher had picked him up for his third violation of tresspassing on private property and willfull destruction of private property (something about tearing into his neighbors trashcans) ...
http://www.silenzzzz.net/area/ballP.jpg
that is sneaky .. a ball python .. he sits next to my computer all the time and stares at me .. hah ... nice low maint pet ... also usefull for chasing away in-laws that you think have overstayed their welcome (or just knocked on the door)

You know why Smokey hates Tasha?
It's a body language thing. In Dog, "Let's play" translates to Cat body language for "You are my mortal enemy and I will destroy you and eat your children".

More photos of Turtlemania. Turtles are not herding creatures, nor to they 'bond' with other turtles. So it's mere coincidence that the turtle in the photo is sunning itself next to the turtle fountain:
