Sounds like a fad just like the auto shift bike.

I saw that or something like that a few years ago in popular mechanics. I think it looks cool, but probably not better. Definitely not for serious riding, because you couldn't shift your weight around properly. I wonder how it would do at climbing hills, though.

Thats a pretty cool idea. The dads boss has some like this but it only the frount wheels turned! :p

reminds me of those rigs that stacy kohut and trevair ride from the nwd videos.

I have seen a coupe of the rigs used for the impaired on whistler mountain. The world champ lives here so I get to see the best of the best. Let me tell you it is not as fast, doesn get nearly as much air and probably takes more work. When you or I get stuck in the whoop section for example we either manual through it high speed or jump it. The guys using this loose TONNES of speed cause they can't manual or jump it.

Looks like fun to ride...but not as much fun. :)

I made something like this for my thesis when I was still attending at the university.. The prototype had a top speed of about 60kmh, and was wide as a car, so it could do fast turns because the front wheels would tilt a little as it turns..

But I never thought of making the rear wheel turn...

The suspension system is awesome on that one... If only I had thought of a similar system... Instead I used material flex as a suspension system, w/c made the machine to only accomodate a rider weighing 130~160lbs...

That's the only recumbent I would consider riding!

Looks like fun, but I wouldn't give up my 2-wheeled version!

I saw one nasty wipe out. The guy was doing a kicker over a glacier pool. He totaly screwed it and landed nose heavy endoing and tumbling for a bit. Rough landing, but he got back up and nailed it next try.

So yeah...they do fall :D
