Anyone have issues with the chain stay sensor bar on the Cateye V3?

When I bought my bike in april, I grabbed it because it's completely wireless speed, cadence, and HR. Then about 2 months ago I was riding and I heard something fall off. I look at my display and all I have is heart rate. Turns out the sensor bar had fallen off the mount, leaving only the base part that zip ties to the stay.

Has anyone heard of this problem? I've talked to the LBS that sold it to me and they're desperately trying to find the part, but their warehouse doesn't have it in stock (was supposed to be in stock on 6/23), and they can't seem to get a hold of anyone at Cateye who knows anything.

The rumor I hear from the LBS is that they're redesigning the mount or something because this is a common problem.

I'm kind of pissed because it cost me $150. I've been doing a few time trials and a race with only heart rate, which doesn't work so well when you're as inexperienced at racing as me. I'm to the point where I want to call cateye myself.

I've had other issues w/ my V3 including trying to order a second set of sensors for another bike, the unit going into sleep mode with resetting the only way to activate it, and lastly the computer quitting mid ride. I contacted Cateye several times by email w/ no response.

Finally, I had my LBS return it as a warranty (even though I didn't buy it through them). Catyeye sent a brand new unit that works great.

I have noticed that you have to really tighten the screw mount on the rear sensors to fix them in a permanent location.

I have 1 last problem w/ my new unit. The display does not show all of the letters on the left side. I'm so disgusted w/ Cateye regarding this unit, I decided to just use it as is.
