I'm still puzzing over how to best conceal the bionx battery. Is it safe to have it in a bike carrying bag or some other type of fabric wrapped around it?

How about painting it to match your frame? I've taken the logo off of mine. I'm considering painting it if I can't think of a decent cover.
As long as the battery temperature stays reasonable, it is okay to put it in a bag. I am not sure whether it is okay to put it in an airtight bag, but I think that is okay too.

My frame is red. I'm worried that the color will make it too hot. I've been thinking about a red bandana(s), so it looks like I'm just protecting a big water bottle while also blowing in the wind and creating shade.
I'm worried about the paint idea, too. Too many metals mixing with other metals.
Guess I'm just a control freak, but I need to know what will be absolutely safe.
Don't worry too much about your battery. The paint color (if it isn't black) or metal content (?!) isn't going to amount to much and neither is a non-insulated bag.
