I went for a long ride yesterday, near Mt. Rainier. Started at Paradise, went to Sunrise, then back to Paradise (for those familiar with the area). It ended up being a little over 100 miles, and around 11000 feet of climbing. I've done longer rides, but nothing with that sort of climbing. This was definitely the hardest ride I've ever done. I feel half dead today. If anyone else wants to try this route, I recommend starting at daybreak and bringing lights. Sorry this is so disjointed, I'm barely coherent.

11,000 feet in 100 miles is pretty darned hilly indeed. The most I've ever done was a little over 10k and man that was tough. No wonder you're feeling dead today!

I've done 3 centuries with 10,000 and one with 12,000 over 114 miles. Felt good, did a 40 miler the day after the rides. And I'm a fat guy!:D

Cayuse Pass was pretty well clear, but there was a fair amount of snow still up around Paradise.

Feeling fine today, so in retrospect perhaps some of my incoherence was the getting home at 2am, and going to work by 8 like normal :P
