Here is how I see things for GC. After Stage 10

Evans
Sastre
Menchov
Vandevelde
Schleck
Ricco
Valverde

Evans may win by the ITT. and not by much. He will lose the Jersey in the next mountains to CSC and let them do the work

Sastre will get much time in the mountains as will Ricco ( Alp D Huez )

Menchov will have a bad day and has never finished ahead of Sastre so you are fooling yourself to think this will happen again. he gets weaker as the tour continues and Sastre tends to improve

Vandevelde will have a bad day but make it up in the ITT. THe second half of the tour is where the men and the boys are separated. I would love to see him surprise me and win the entire thing but I don't think the legs will be there in the Alps.

Schleck will lose time holding the jersey and defending while Sastre Attack

Ricco will move to top 3 but lose time in the ITT

Valverde will claw his way back into 6th place.

Jens Voigt will be near death by the end of the tour.

please discuss and share your thoughts and predictions.

Ricco. He was sandbagging Evans today and had Cobo appear to be a threat. He will use Piepoli (today's greatest domestique, see my thread) to launch an attack on the Lombarde (home turf ;)), maybe Alpe d'Huez. He needs 4 minutes over Evans to be safe in a time trial. He's still really pissed over the loss to Contador.

But that is just my guess. :p

This would be my prediction in Paris. Evans is consistant and a good TTer as is Menchov, but I think Denis will have one rough day.

Evans
Menchov
Schleck
Vandevelde
Sastre
Ricco
Cobo
Valverde

i'm gonna go out on a limb and go with vandelvelde. it's due time for an upset. 2nd schleck, 3rd sastre.
crazy i know, but i gotta believe.

I think Evans is more f'ed up from that crash that he or anybody realizes yet. I don't think he can hold it esp if Ricco decides to ride like he is clearly capable. Even if he is helping his teammates like he did today he can still put the hurt on Evans because he is a real threat and Evans has to realized that. I just do see Evans as having it in him to be able to cover every break.
