I need to replace the brake shoes on my 20" wheel folder with linear-pull (V-type) brakes. Is there a problem using shoes such as Kool-Stop Mountain or Thinline salmon? Would the greater curvature of the 20" rim cause a problem as they are longer than the original ProMax shoes? Thanks!

I believe Koolstop are OK. They do work better but apparently wear faster too.

Snafu21 reckons you don't need brakes, just use a nearby tree or lampost lol!

Brakes are for wusses.

(Koolstops seem perfect for most normal people)

So let me figure this Snafu riddle! Brakes are for 'wusses' and Koolstops are fine for 'normal people'. Therefore it follows all normal people are wusses!

Final solution to the riddle is Snafu is not a wuss and is abnormal lol :P
