I used to be a bit more active here a while ago, but...

<to the Trek dealer> forgive me father for I have sinned, it has been 2 years since my last bike ride...

So I moved from Kentucky to Southgate, MI for graduate school (Wayne State AET program) meanwhile my bike moved nowhere. One look at the roads of that stretch of the down river and my poor-no-bike-rack-on-car ass was going nowhere. Honestly, If I could have gotten my bike up to detroit, I would have been less afraid of the people there than I would have of the pavement in Southgate, Taylor, etc

(not hatin, just making honest observation, and for the record, I *like* detroit and what I've seen of michigan in general.)

This weekend I took a nice trip down Hines drive (WOOOHOOO!!) Damn all of me but my ischial tuberosities thinks its awesome to be back in the saddle. What started as heading east for half an hour and turning back turned into an hour and a half because I neglected slope and an outgoing tailwind, but damn it was fun. Its nice to see a road this well suited to biking.

And as soon as my butt quits complaining about sitting down, I'm heading back out. Does Hines drive head all the way into D-Town? I got from ~I275 to Inkster road before turning back.

Welcome, Krazy! If you'd like to come out to Ann Arbor I can show you some really nice routes, too!
