I want to purchase a wheelset for my track bike but do not want to spend much ... $200 or so.
Saw a pair of Vuelta TEAM XRP TRACK / FIXED GEAR BIKE WHEELSET on ebay fromm Bike Island.
Question ... are these any good? Price is nice.

it's a budget wheelset, which is to say that it's got fairly smooth, reliable sealed cartridge-bearing hubs (these are dimension hubs, it looks like to me, which are decent), and that the wheelbuild may leave a bit to be desired - check the tension, if you know what you're doing, or bring them to a shop and ask them to check the tensioning of the wheels. they should work just fine. they're nothing fancy, but there's nothing wrong with 'em.

I have a Vuelta Typhoon wheel on the back of a single speed I bought. It was originally a cassette wheel and converted to a single speed. I know this is a different model from Vuelta than what you are looking at but its quality is great. I would assume they do the same for all their wheels. Ive ridden off a few curbs and have put about 500 miles on it and its still true as the day I got it. Plus who knows what the guy before me did with it.
