Mountain Biking - ugh

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Today I was testing myself at riding teeter-totter..I made it over once.and the second time at the top I rode off and endoed..I gave myslef the worst headache, I basically landed flat on my face.I need to start off with more than a 5 1/2 inch peice of wood.. I decided to cut my losses and wait till my mom gets home to before I break my neck.:D

I haven't ever tried it myself. There's a track about 45 minutes from my house with a bunch of tricks on it but I haven't been there yet. Tim at the bike shop said you shouldn't go alone. Must not be as easy as some make it look. :D

No, I guess not...
Matt go see a doctor now. Head and neck injuries some times turn out to be more serious than they first appear.:(

The base Hospital is closed..I asked my dad( he's a nurse) about it and he said I'm fine. I should probably go to the doc anyway. I'm feeling alot better now..It was an amazing biff though, even if I have to say so myself..The one time I made it all the way over was a total blast!! The teeter-totter is about 3 feet high..Not high by 'core standards, but high for my first try.

Ouch. If any headaches come of this in the near future, definitely go and see a doc. Sometimes these things can have lingering effects.

If your headache's persist, then go see a doctor. I crashed on my face this year and i rode for all the way home, so if your tough enough then you shouldent need the doctor!!! lol:D

Maybe you should invest in some body armour...I sometimes glue egg boxes to my person just for this purpose
Cost effective too! :D

Or a full-face :D
Fubar, since when are you riding these crazy stunts? IIRC you were inquiring about teeter-totters a couple of months ago. If so, congrats! But seriously, go see a doc if you still have neck stiffness or a headache - you might have a concussion even with a helmet. Sorry to sound like your mother
