Road Cycling - Preventing arm warmers from falling down?

OK, I'm not built like the Governor of California. Am 6'2'' though, so dropping down a size to 'small' isn't really possible though as they'll be too short. How can I keep them up? Safety pins are a nuisance, and surely they'll rip through the thin material of a summer jersey?

I find arm/leg warmers ideal for changing temperatures on a long ride.
I asked this same question last year. Leg warmers particularily are a problem.
I was told..Roll up and turn over the ends of the warmers, so they are bunched up..The added thickness is tucked under bike shorts or jerseys. The pressure of the shorts, pulling down on the warmers, should keep them in place.
Not perfect but seems to delay their falling down.. Hate that feeling..
How did our great great grandmothers tolerate the feeling of stockings falling down...No, I would not use pins on my favorite shorts or jerseys.

I put them on first..so the top elastic end goes under my undershirt and my jersey. they do not fall down. I wear the Nike version. They have fine grippers on the top that prevent them from coming down.

Leg warmers go on first, then your shorts...same with knee warmers. Never had them fall down.

Sounds like a job for a garter belt.

Dont like arm warmers because of that and because i just dont like them.Ls base layer works better for me.You can always take it off and put in in a jersey pocket.You can also get very light to not so light windbreaker/jackets that the arms zip off.

Try using Zip ties...or staples

I had a few small patches of velcro sewn onto a set I had a while back and it helped...for a while. MAybe it is time for some custom arm warmers...

I was just wondering the same thing
here in az., it may start off cold but it's probably going to get warm during the ride.
arm warmers are perfect to take off quickly and stow in small quarters (ladies jersies=smaller pockets).
so other than staples and glue, I'd really like to know how one keeps them from saggin like a pair of ole lady's hose? (since I don't wear a tight skinsuit style jersey that would hold the sleeves on)

You've got them on upside down!

I had the same problem with my warmes, but since I got a small I couldn't just opt for a smaller size. If you fold the top eleastic band over itself and then sew it up it helps a lot. Use safety pins to find the ideal fold and then sew it up at home.

I have very skinny arms and never had that problem. Maybe try a different brand? (Mine are PI)

bondage tape. [yes i do mean bondage]

it sticks to itself but not to skin so it doesn't pull hairs out.
