If i were tog et new shifters, would it be ok to get 9 speed. Right nwo i am runnign a 7 speed cassette with 8 spd shifters, buti dont know if 9sp would be too much.

Will I be ok?

Will I be ok?No it won't be ok. The .2mm cog spacing difference(assuming shimano) between 7 and 8 speed is close enough to work. The .66 difference between 7 and 9 is a no fly.
