I didnt notice till today because I usually just wear a light gray or white t-shirt while riding.
I finished a 30 mile training session and put my shirt on the railing outside to dry and when i came back it had a white outline where I was sweating.
I drink Gatorade as of recently on a 1:1 ratio 1 bottle of water for 1 Gatorade while riding and only while riding. I havnt changed much along my diet.
Is this normal to have this much im assuming salt or sodium or something along those lines that it shows up in my sweat?
Should I be using less Gatorade?
It's salt. It's normal if you sweat a lot while riding. It doesn't matter what you drink.

You should see my black cycling shorts at the end of a long, hot ride .... or even at the end of a bitterly cold ride when I've overdressed.
yeah i get this problem with my shorts. i really don't like it when i go to the store or chill with friends 'cause you look like a total dork. gotta scootch the shorts up a little higher and your shirt a little more down to cover 'em up ;).
as others have said, it doesn't matter what you drink. i just drink water and experience the same problem.
have fun sweating!
Gatorade contains a miniscule amount of salt compared to what you sweat. :)
It's milk from the currently adjacent thread.

When you body has adapted to hot weather riding it will hold onto more of the salt and you will get less salt crust. Adjust your salt intake accordingly.

You should check your sweat rate - simply take your weight before the ride - ride for an hour and weigh yourself again - add any fluids you took in to keep it honest. there is a performance loss from as little as 3% loss of fluids....you should use a bit more comprehensive hydration drink like accelerade, cytomax, or revenge, rather than gatorade - much better suited to what you are doing....those salt lines indicate performance decriment and should be avoided as much as possible

The next thing to look after is the dried sweat on your skin, like your arms up in the shoulder region. If that shows up and rubbing your skin feels grainy, then maybe you're starting to lose electrolytes.
30 miles isn't much if you're not near a high effort most of the way. But when you add high temps and humidity and even dry wind, then you could be in trouble. I keep a few capsules of powder electrolytes in my saddle.
