"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Another Pre-Potential First Race Thread
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I started cycling in March. I really want to try racing before the year ends. I want to do the Bryan Park Race in Richmond VA this Sunday. Does anyone have any good information that is specific to this race?
Disclaimer: Non-specific information also appreciated although I am aware of the search function.

haha, UCLA to Richmond VA would be quite a trip. thanks for responding.
I've never done it, but I understand it to be a good first race environment on a relatively safe, non-technical, not very selective course. lots of races are held in bryan's park so the promoters have that place figured out for good organization. go for it and have fun!

'Pre-potential first race thread'?
Just STFU, race your friggin bike, and come back here and let us know how it went already. It's amateur bike racing, not natural childbirth.

thanks MDcatV. i appreciate the info.
i'm new at this. i know you started before the internet, but i dont know any locals that have this information and this is my best resource. I WILL race my "friggin bike" and i might be less inclined to let you know how it went now.
actually, thanks for the motivation. i know its your responsibility to start an arguement in every thread on BF and you're just doing your job. i will report soon.
