If you tried em both which one is: less beefy, lighter, less bulky looking, breathes better? I tried the Skate B2, and the Classic. Skate Classic was less bulky, seemed lighter.

The Skate Classic:

The Bike Classic:

The Bike Ace:

Also, I dont really like the Skate Ace decals, but opinion on this?

Thanks for the help!

All my helmets are made by FlexFit.

I like the Bike Ace. The white with checker straps and the black/green one.

Go with one of the classics. Keep it simple and clean.

dude the classic helmets are basically the same. the only difference is in the solidity/thickness of foam. just go with the skate classic. everyone loves them. personally, my helmets are made of hair and wool, but thats just me. kinda like wtp but no flexfit. haha.

$$$ not well spent. you could buy some new parts for the cost of a helmet.

I just got the Bike B2 one, i love it. It's really comfy. It's sort-of bulky though.

If he wants to wear a helmet, let him be. That's one less rider that has a cracked skull.

Thanks for the responses. I will be going with the Pro-tec ACE. Still not sure whether to get the SXP Ace skate, or SXP Ace bike.

I called Pro-tec and they said the only difference is padding. The bike version will be less comfortable but more suited for crashes at high speeds. And the skate version is more comfy padding, but not suitable protection for bike crashes. I figure they have to say this kinda stuff for liability reasons.

I rather get the more comfortable, skate version. I will be using this for my track bike as well. So if I wipe out, u think will this protect my head? And how uncomfortable is the bike version over the skate?

They are both skate helmets, same model also. So what is the difference in safety, comfort, feel? Thanks!

The Ace looks like it breathes well. The Bucky seems like it would be less bulky since it looks like it is just the plastic shell without that hard foam stuff.

Not a lot of us ride with helmets. I know I don't so I wouldn't know.

I ride with a helmet, but I just wandered into the shop, found one in the colour I wanted that fit right, and bought it. A helmet's a helmet dude, just buy one and go ride!

i say just stick with the classic skate helmet. light, anti-bulky, and pretty solid.
