Hey all, Im in the process of looking at various hardtail frames, but the thing is now, i have a BEAST..MOTHER BEAST of a bike. Its great for going out on some trials, ride around, and "play", but i was looking for a frame that is truly STRONG, LIGHT, and has a well known frame geometry...Im not concerned of price at all. I was looking at Ti. Frames, but they really seem inpractable. There are aluminium frames that weigh less, and I really want to keep in mind weight. Any suggestions would be great, im really looking forward to getting into mountian biking in the spring...as of then, Ill be having fun on my $300 CANADIAN :D bike in the snow, mountain biking opens up a whole new world of adventure....... ;)

if your not concerned about price at all, check out the banshee morphine, or maybe the cliffcat tankass that should be a ride for your money. ;)

he may want something lighter then that. I would recommend an older model giant. the 2001 atx 890. A truly light frame for xc.

Then get a Ti frame....and they are not impractical....

Schwinn Homegrown, Giant XTC SE1-2, KHS Alite 4000, Specialized S-Works, take your pick...You can usually find all of them on eBay for around 150 bucks, except for the S-Works, they usually go for more. Oh, if you're lucky, a Klein Attitude Race would be a sweet HT too.
