guess what, the rubber seal between the lower cup & the fork crown race of my headset is no where to be found.
So I need some smart idea on how to keep road dirt/sand/etc from getting into the ball bearings.
Please donate an idea. thanks.

Perhaps you could work with segments of an old inner tube? Just an idea.

oooh, good find, i'll keep that in mind.
You could save yourself cost and shipping by making one out of an old MTB innder tube. Works well, although over a longish period, the rubber does perish...
