I'd be very surprised if isn't already banned. It's a form of recombinant EPO.

Now whether the current EPO test can detect it, I don't know.

Plus it's not available in the US due to patents. Not saying that will prevent it's use, but if EPO is banned, then this most likely is as well.

It's been reported in a belgian magazine earlier in the week. Mircera is traceable in some labs, but not all. WADA apparently have confirmed it's not yet on the banned substance list. Several riders have anonymously confirmed (according to the magazine) that all of this is common knowledge in the peloton.

Apparently, it was detectable in Ricco's case. Reportedly he tested positive for CERA. I'm assuming Micera is Roche's proprietary name for CERA.
