LEL 2009. (http://www.londonedinburghlondon.co.uk/)
Debating sending in an application, getting it on the calendar and committing to the travel - anyone out there complete this ride? Planning on it?

It doesn't seem to get the hype of PBP.
I've read many ride reports out in interweb land. Sounds like a good time, with good support.

I'm mildly tempted, though I'm not fully convinced that I want to spend my precious vacation time in Europe next year (and of currency, the 'meh'ness of the US Dollar abroad isn't helping). A 1000k in Ontario might be the longest ride that I do next year unless there's another 1200 on the Eastern Seaboard.

My tandem partner and I are very interested in doing that ride, however, it looks to be a pricey ride, especially if we bring a couple of kids along. Maybe if the dollar recovers. With the Gold Rush and Cascades next year, and likley a Southern California 1000 that runs by my front door, there are other good options. But... LEL is on my list of things to do.
